Aggression and Serious Behavior Cases in Miami
Transformation is built for complex cases: aggression concerns, resource guarding, fear-based behavior, and dogs that have learned to control their environment through pressure, avoidance, or dysfunctional behavior.
These cases aren't handled casually. They require careful evaluation, honest owner participation, and a structured plan. MK9 does not diagnose through a form and does not give serious behavior advice without understanding the full picture.
Why a Personal Evaluation Matters
Serious Cases Need the Full Picture
Every Transformation case is reviewed personally by G before a program recommendation is made. The plan depends on your dog's history, triggers, environment, and household.
Pain Can Be Part of the Problem
A review of problem behavior estimated conservatively that about a third of referred cases involve a painful condition, and in some caseloads close to 80% (Mills et al., 2020). Sudden aggression is a reason to see your veterinarian first.
Family Safety Starts at Home
In a study of children treated for dog bites, 72% knew the dog, and for children under 6 the most common context was resource guarding (Reisner et al., 2011). Guarding at home deserves to be taken seriously.

What to Expect
Every MK9 program follows the same path: understand the situation, identify the right plan, then build the standard.
1. A Free 30-Minute Discovery Call
Tell us what's happening, when it started, and what life with your dog looks like right now. This is where fit is determined.
2. A Personal Evaluation
Every Transformation case is reviewed personally by GuiAlix Douyon (G) before a program recommendation is made. G looks at your dog's history, triggers, environment, and your goals.
3. Structured, Real-World Training
Transformation follows a structured plan built for your dog's specific case, with honest owner participation at every step. Training happens where your dog actually lives: your home, your sidewalks, your neighborhood.
4. Owner Education
The dog learns the commands. The owner learns how to lead. You learn to communicate with consistency, timing, and control, so the results hold when the session ends.
5. Lifetime Warranty Support
The relationship doesn't end when the program ends. Every program includes:
- Monthly Group Tune-Ups: socialization, work around distractions, fine-tuning commands, and deterring unwanted behavior.
- Unlimited Phone Consultations: problem-solving support by phone.
- Annual Courtesy Visits: a yearly review of all commands.
- Newborn Introductions: adjustment-phase support when a new baby joins the family.

Is the Transformation Program Right for Your Dog?
Transformation is the best fit for:
- On- or off-leash reactivity or aggression concerns
- Resource guarding
- Fear-based behavior
- Bite history or near-bite incidents
- Dogs that worked with previous trainers without lasting structure
What the Research Says About Serious Behavior
Fear Often Drives Aggression
In a study of 13,700 dogs, 72.5% showed at least one problematic anxiety-related behavior, and 14% showed aggression (Salonen et al., 2020). Understanding the emotion behind the behavior changes how it's addressed.
Signs That Pain May Be Involved
The same pain review describes warning signs such as sudden onset, aggression when the dog is resting or handled, and changes in posture or movement (Mills et al., 2020).
MK9 does not offer civilian protection training or bite work. Read more in When Behavior Changes Suddenly: The Pain Connection.

Questions
Transformation Program (Level III): Frequently Asked Questions
Why does G personally evaluate every Transformation case?
Because serious behavior can't be judged from a form. Aggression, guarding, and fear have different causes, and pain can be one of them: about a third of referred behavior cases involve a painful condition, by a conservative estimate (Mills et al., 2020). G reviews every case before recommending a program.
My dog guards food or toys around my kids. How serious is that?
Take it seriously. In a study of children treated for dog bites, 72% knew the dog, and for children under 6 the most common context was resource guarding (44%) (Reisner et al., 2011). Supervise every interaction, separate the dog while eating or chewing, and book an evaluation.
Could my dog's sudden aggression be medical?
It could be. Sudden onset, aggression when resting or handled, and changes in posture or movement are among the warning signs described in a review of pain and problem behavior (Mills et al., 2020). See your veterinarian first; training can't fix discomfort.
Is my fearful dog unusual?
No. In a study of 13,700 dogs, 72.5% showed at least one problematic anxiety-related behavior, with noise sensitivity (32%) and general fearfulness (29%) the most common (Salonen et al., 2020). Fear-based behavior is part of Level III: Transformation.
Do you offer protection or bite work training?
No. MK9 does not offer civilian protection training or bite work.
